I like it. It's not too weird at all, imo. It's recognizable, handsome, not overly trendy and not overused. My only qualm with it is that he could be called "Zaney". :-/

I'm not so hot on it but I love Jane and Zarah, just a thought, since they are alike. But Zanielle or Zanita or Jaze or something is nice if you're thinking of a Z name.

I don't think it's weird. I've known a few boys named Zane. Though I didn't particularly like any of them, Zane is a nice name imo.
