As a middle name it’s tired, overused and a little dated. It’s much fresher as a first name. I like it much better than Maria, but not quite as much as Mary. Marie Emma would be pretty, though not particularly inspired.
I do like the name Rosemarie, mostly because of the song. (“Smile a little smile for me, Rosemarie...”)
