Thoughts on Marie
WDYT of this name? Do you think it is better as a middle name or as a first name? What combos would you use with Marie and do you prefer Marie to Maria? I actually prefer Marie to Maria, despite my penchant for girl's name ending in a. Olivia Marie
Charlotte Marie (a French combo)
Emma Marie (I know that some you dislike the two M's together.)Top names:Girls: Olivia and Grace
Boys: Daniel and Liam

As a middle name it’s tired, overused and a little dated. It’s much fresher as a first name. I like it much better than Maria, but not quite as much as Mary. Marie Emma would be pretty, though not particularly inspired.I do like the name Rosemarie, mostly because of the song. (“Smile a little smile for me, Rosemarie...”)

Hi!
Maria reminds me of Maria Reynolds from Hamilton and I hate her so I prefer Marie. I think Marie is more suitable for a little girl than an adult.

Marie isn't a favorite, but I prefer it to Maria, which makes me think of a large overweight dark woman with a mustache. I'd much rather see Marie as a first name, as it's overused and filler as a middle name.

It's very very common. As a middle name and as part of double first names. So common and classic that it's hard to dislike. Marie, Maria, Mary. They're pretty much the same imo. But if I was going to use one, it'd be Maria.

It's a bit generic as a middle name, but it goes so well with so many fns you can see why. It's more interesting as a first name, I think. But I do prefer Maria. I love the name Maria.

Boring af as a middle name. When I see it on babies, I assume it's either mom's middle name too (aw wow honoring your own filler so cute) or the parents just couldn't come up with anything better. It's better as a first name.
