It always makes me think of poor Lavinia in Titus Andronicus. It's a lovely name but Shakespeare kind of ruined it for me.
Lavinia is a really pretty name, and has always given me a "Southern" vibe. She's so Latinate and fancy, though, that she really doesn't need a flashy partner in a combo. Lavinia Helen is just fine.
It comes across as refined to me but not uptight. It reminds me of wisteria.
When I was younger, I probably would have thought it sounded snobby, but I like it now; it's grown on me.
Lavinia Tosca and Lavinia Primavera are too operatic for me.
I like Fiammetta, but it's too much of a mouthful with Lavinia.
I like Lavinia Zoe, but I like Zoe as a middle name for most things.
Rosetta seems sweet with it.
Lavinia Salomè is striking. That's my favorite.
