An acquaintance of mine just gave birth to her first child, a baby boy they named Isaiah Miguel. I'm not sure if either parent has any Hispanic ancestry. WDYT?

If one of the parents has Hispanic/Latinx ancestry or if the child is named for someone, then it's nice. Otherwise, I find Miguel a little odd, but still, a classy little name. I've only ever known one Isaiah so despite everyone knowing the name, I'd say it's underused. Good to see it used here.

I like it. It does not matter if they have hispanic ancestry or not IMO. If you like a name, you can use it.
Here in Switzerland, it is totally normal that you give your child a german / french / spanish / italian / english / swedish / whatever name if you like it - even if you do not speak that language or have such an ancestry.

Isaiah is a fantastic, strong name, I like it. Isaiah Miguel makes a rather handsome combo.

I like Miguel, Isaiah not really.

If he doesn't have latino ancestry I would wonder if maybe its being used after the film Coco came out putting it in people's heads.

I like that it (seems) to draw from distinctly different sources; and though this seems so to me, I am well aware that the sources may not seem (or be) different at all.
