By far and away the most famous Fern in the UK spells the name Fearne, and when I hear the name I think of her. It's funny to me that the name strikes you as being nerdy when here it belongs to a modern day It girl here!

I don't think I've ever met anyone named Fern. It's a name I only hear in movies and TV shows.
