Cora

I love all three! I also love Coralie, but I can’t use it since a close friend did.
I knew a Cora growing up. Super nice, friends with anyone kind of person. Which didn't make you popular in my school.
I have thought about it recently, but I'm not sure how I like it. I'm not a fan of Carol (the name of a selfish aunt) but Corinne I'd pair with Cora. I'm not sure how I feel about it

Corinne is OK. I knew a Coral once whose name was a tweaked variant of Carol; this put me right off, perhaps unfairly.
I know a small Cora, named after her grandmother. It looks good on her, but anything would! Her sister is Stella; same reason, different grandmother.
It might be a pronunciation issue. I don't like the way Cora sounds like a noisy crow. But I don't use or hear the same sound in either Corinne or Coral.
I do like Coralie a lot. It's frillier than my usual, but for some reason that doesn't matter. Dislike Coraline, though.

I loove Cora and have for years. Corinne and Coral are ok but I don’t like them enough to ever consider them. I do like Coraline, however.
One of my childhood friends named her baby Cora recently, which has made me like it more. I think it's a pretty name but it doesn't reach out and grab me. I think its growing popularity is indicative of our slow move toward early twentieth century names and away from nineteenth century names like Sophia.

I didn't like the sound at first, but I worked with a goat named Corazon, which lead to me saying "Cora!" in exasperation and fondness a lot, and now I think it's endearing. I also fell in love with *dora names a while ago, so that's probably a factor.
I'm not sure how to pronounce Corinne, so...as kə-REEN, it sounds too close to "careen", and as kə-RIN, it reminds me of Karen but less dated.
With Coral, I think: endangered, corral, choral, or oral. It doesn't seem namey to me.

Cora was the name of my ggm and my mom adored her. I'm not sure why none of her four dds was given this name. I like it well enough and I'm at the point in my life where I sometimes wish I'd used it in some way. Still, it's a tad harsh sounding for me and I lean more towards Corinne which dh really likes. Whatever. Have to say, I'd love to meet anyone with this name (Cora), especially a little one.
Coral is nice but it doesn't roll off the tongue smoothly for me (that and Laurel).

Agreed completely! Btw the Cora I met was young (but not a child, probably twenty-something). People think of it as an “old lady name” but it’s been consistently in the top 1000 for as long as there have been records kept.
I love Cora, especially with this spelling. It's not too common where I live, and is short, sweet and elegant, but also approachable and down-to-earth. If I ever have a little girl, this would be one of the names I would consider.
Corinne is okay, but I prefer Corinna. It has a little more "je ne sais quoi" for me. This might be because I hear Corinne more often than Corinna.
Coral is pretty. I like the meaning. I also like Coraline :)
