Friend BA!
A friend from high school just welcomed her second baby girl, and her name is Claire Anna R. (R being the last initial). Miss Claire joins big sister Emily.WDYT of this combo? I think Anna Claire would've flowed better, but now, thanks to this BA, Claire is actually growing on me (I used to avoid it like the plague). I've always loved Anna, though.~~~~~PNLs (updated 7/28/18):

I agree. Anna Claire would be so much better.

Claire Anna is nice enough although the flow is just okay. I would prefer Clara Anne. BTW, I briefly, briefly considered Anna Claire for our youngest until I realized it came off sounding something like an eclair, ha!

I like it. Beautiful and recognisable and no-nonsense!Granted, I'd have used Clare instead of the needlessly fancy Claire, and I do prefer Anne to Anna for, let's say, personal reasons. Clara Anne, perhaps? Anne Clara? Emily is so lovely. Good sister-set.

IMO, boring....and I’m not in love with the spelling Claire. I prefer Clare. I would have much preferred the combo Clara Anne.

Well, compared to my other friends' choices...it's actually pretty nice. Another friend has a daughter named McKinleigh...blecch! And yet another gave her two kids the initials CEO and CFO.I'm not putting my friends down in any way, shape, or form. I'm simply expressing my opinion.

Agreed. Comparatively its nice. But I'm not really wowed by any of their choices. Maybe you will be the one to do so.

I like it. The flow isn't perfect but I love both names. Plus, I'm sure it sounds better when you say the whole thing with the last name. Anna Claire, while pretty, is so expected. Claire and Emily are nice together, if a little boring. Emily is such a pretty name, really, but its lost a lot of its shine due to popularity. It's almost getting as dull as Sarah but not quite.

I agree with you that 'Anna Claire' would have sounded better but its still a lovely name. I'm a fan of both names and the spelling of Claire is the only one that I prefer.Emily & Claire make a great sibling set. Beautiful classics

They've avoided the "an eclair" jokes by having Claire as the FN so I think that's smart. Claire Anna is extremely sweet, I like it. Hate Emily though.

Claire Anna doesn't flow very well but how many people who are not name nerds think about the flow of a combo?
I like Claire and I think Claire and Emily make a very sweet sibset.
I hate Anna with a passion and I'm very glad they didn't use it as her first name.

I like Claire, I'd absolutely use it, given another daughter.(not happening!)
I also like Anna, but couldn't really use it, it would sound ridiculous with our last name, starts with A, and all vowels.
