No, it wouldn't genuinely bother me and I would not wish I had a different name at all. Because Claudia is from an ancient family name, that almost certainly refers to some lost metaphor or allegory, and was almost certainly intended to allude to virtue or a virtuous person. It refers to that usage, more than it refers to a literal meaning.

This is true, and there were also several Christian saints named Claudia, as well as some other positive public figures. I think maybe I could get past the negative connotations of Claudia by focusing on those connections. It’s also a name that just sounds gorgeous.
