Maddie
The winner of American Idol season 16! I'm a fan of both contestants so I was happy with the results either way.
Born, Madeline Mae Poppe
Runner up: Caleb Lee Hutchinson. Also known as her boyfriend (; yup, I ship them! :D (Regardless of how long or short they remain a couple of course)
I really like both of their names myself. The middles are of course boring "filler" names but otherwise OK IMO.
Opinions?

I've got a family member, long deceased, who was named Madeline May. She was born in the late 19th century or very early 20th. She apparently always went by May, not Madeline - May was a fashionable name at the time. Her siblings were Isabella, Lily, Polly (actually Mary) and John Wilfred, known as Wilfred.
I’m still suffering from Maddie fatigue from the last couple of decades.
The names seem meh to me. Solid, typical, and a bit bland. Nothing to write home about.
My only opinion is that I can't believe American Idol is still on the air and I can't believe people still watch it.
Believe it or not, some still do.
Of course the earlier seasons were been better (Though i did find this seasons finale I found quite enjoyable) It was canceled last year but was picked up by another network. I was skeptical at first when I heard the show would be revived but not so much now. (Of course there are things I wished that the show would change but hmmm) I know I prefer this show over it's competition show and more popular "The voice"

I'm one of those people who stopped watching Idol after S15, and I disagree. On Idol, just one slip-up and you're gone. On The Voice, they stay patient with you and help you work through those struggles.
