Celeb BA - John Stamos (Full House)
He had a son named Billy, named after his father.
I have a feeling that these old man nicknames might come back into style. I can imagine seeing lots of boys named Billy, Jimmy etc in the future though I think that most people will use a full name on the birth certificate. Jimmy Kimmel recently had a son named Billy (I think short for William).
What do you think?

You may be right, but I'm of the generation in which every William was a Billy as a child and (most of the time) Bill as an adult, so I can't help thinking it's incredibly boring. And there's something obnoxious about Billy. When my sisters learned that if I had a son, he'd be named William, they begged me not to call him Billy because they "didn't think they could stand it" lol.
So happy for John that he's finally a father and to a little boy too. I think it's lovely that they named him Billy after John's dad, they were very close. Billy is a name you hear time to time here in Australia, so it doesn't bother me at all. I do like nickname names though, it's not an issue for me.
Ok, but does he know his father's name was William?
