I pronounce Alice and Clarice differently. I think that I would like Clarice, but it's so heavily associated with Silence of the Lambs that I can't think of it apart from that. I haven't even seen Silence of the Lambs, but "Hello, Clarice!" is so deeply entrenched that it's all I hear when I hear the name!
