Alice or Clarice? (more)
Hi !!!
I used to like Alice (English pr) since I was a child but now it became quite boring.
Recently I found the name Clarice and I think it is lovely, bright and complete.
So I thought that I loved Alice mostly because of its sound that is in Clarice too.

I pronounce Alice (AL-is) & Clarice (kla-REES) differently, and while both are pretty, I much prefer Alice. Alice isn't overly popular in the U.S. and will sound sweet on a child & chic on an adult. Other than it's unfortunate association with "The Silence of the Lambs," Clarice just sounds a bit dated to me. Wishing you the best of luck!
Alice
I pronounce Alice and Clarice differently. I think that I would like Clarice, but it's so heavily associated with Silence of the Lambs that I can't think of it apart from that. I haven't even seen Silence of the Lambs, but "Hello, Clarice!" is so deeply entrenched that it's all I hear when I hear the name!
I like both about the same but think I'd vote for Clarice.
Alice is a 9/10, Clarice is a 8/10. I love Alice but I completely understand how it can be seen as boring. It used to be in my top three but I also got bored so I took it off. It's still such a lovely name to me, though, and I might use it for a future cat some day. I think Clarice is lovely. I have a great-aunt named Clarice and she's really lovely. It also reminds me of "The Silence of the Lambs" with Clarice Starling, one of the best protagonists ever. It does feel a little dated, but not in a bad way.
Alice.
