In French, "chamaillerie" is basically synonymous with "contretemps," so I'm guessing the bearer's parents were not French speakers, but simply found a word they thought was pretty.Prior to looking it up, I would've thought the name was either Cajun or Acadian / Québécois.Please rate my personal name lists:www.behindthename.com/pnl/69381
