Lois
Does anyone have any positive feelings for Lois? I must admit that I think Lois is very beautiful; preferable to Eloise in its unique succinctness, and a welcome contrast to the grapheme/syllabic excesses of certain common stylistic preferences. I feel like I am alone in this admiration. The Lois Griffin association is not enough to deter — I like that character anyway.

It's been growing on me.
I noticed it seems to be fairly common over in the UK, judging by its relatively consistent rank on the popularity charts. I guess the impression of the name over there is more positive than in the US.

I absolutely love it, it's the name of one of my best friends. She is one of the wittiest, warmest, and most wonderful people I know. I can only smile when I hear the name.
I love it! It's pert and gentle.
I don't have negative feelings for Lois, they're pretty much neutral. It's due for a comeback (and it is rising, slowly), but due to Lois Griffin and Lois on Malcolm in the Middle, it gives me "mom" associations when it really should have grandma+ associations.
I do prefer it to Eloise though.
