Paulette or Pauline? (more)
Do you prefer Paulette or Pauline and why? What do you think of both names?

Pauline though I don't like either one. Never been a fan of Paul so that's why.

Of the two, I prefer Pauline. I think it's because I don't care for "ette" endings --- I'm not a fan of Georgette or Yvette, either. I don't think Pauline is horrible, but I don't particularly like it, either.

I don't like either of them. I prefer Pauline because I really dislike the rhythm of Paulette. If I had to use a fem form of Paul, it'd be Paula, but I'd rather use Paul for a boy.I was at school with a Paula who was known to some as Polly. That's the best you can do with it!

Paulette just because I have a soft spot for -ette names. Both are kind of dated, though.

I dislike them both, but I prefer Pauline. I think it has a more streamlined sound.

I don’t really like any Paul names, but I prefer Paulette. Pauline isn’t bad, but it sounds a bit old-fashioned to me; plus, Paulette isn’t as common.

I prefer Pauline, though I also really like Paulette. My name's Paul, so I would never name a daughter Pauline because that feels paternalistic to me. I adore the name, though!

I like them both, but much prefer Pauline. Pauline or Paulina definitely deserve a comeback.

One of my husband's relatives has a daughter, adopted from Ukraine, named Pavlina. Quite a nice variation. I like it, probably because she's a nice kid. One of hose people you're glad to see arriving-"Oh, good! Pavlina's here. "

That is a really pretty name. We would have considered Paolina or Paulina our selves, but our surname starts with P... and P.P. were no-go initials.
