Rhett...WDYT
WDYT of the name Rhett? Is it useable? Is it too Gone with the Wind or could you get past that association.
I love the name, and would consider using it. Unfortunately that means I would have to dump another favorite name, Brent, because they are too close.

I love it, but I probably wouldn't use it based on the fact that I'd almost certainly want to name my daughter Scarlett, and the names together would be far too much.
I like Rhett a lot. A LOT more than Brent. I don't think I would use it (would rather use Scarlett and that would just be wierd) but I say go for it. It's a nice name, and considering people these days, the ones my age at least, some of them might not even 'get' the reference. *shakes head sadly*
I like it... but I do prefer Brent.
Since I've never met anyone named Rhett, nor heard about a single person with this name, so I think, yes, the GWTW association is strong enough. But I don't think that it would be a problem at all:
1. Rhett is a cool character (JMO)
2. it's not an overused boring Andrew or Michael
If you really like the name, I say use it! It sounds nice, it's nice written out, and I prefer it to Brent :-)

I LOVE IT!!! Brent is Yuck~!
I like it, and I never associate it w/Gone with the Wind, although most people probably would.
I really like the way Rhett sounds, but I don't think I could get past the GWTW association. I would keep Brent in this case, I think.
Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn about it. ;) Sorry--I don't find it attractive at all. I think it sounds like a weird contraction of "ribbit".
If you used one of the two as a middle name, you could use both Brent and Rhett.

When I worked at McDonald's, I had a manager named Rhett. He was the nicest guy; sort of like a church boy. Rhett is nmsaa, but it's not horrendous or anything. It conjures up a good, friendly image.
