came across this name in an article and wow, how cool would it be to be named Astral...i think it being close sounding to Astrid helps it work as a name, too.wdyt? would you use it?

I’ve never quite been able to enjoy Astrid because of the first syllable, and I’m finding it’s standing out for me with this name as well.

I think Astra is miles ahead in aesthetic appeal and in not sounding stupid. No need to bring that l in here. Aster and Astrid are also both superior choices.

Hi foxgloves!!!!I find it quite trashy, sorry.
I much prefer Aster on a boy and Astrea / Astreia on a girl.By the way I love the name Stella and other names of stars from the Greek Mythology instead of Astral.

Astral is the name of the cream I use, so I definitely wouldn’t use it. I like Astra though.

Someone else asked about this name a while back!https://www.behindthename.com/bb/baby/4818132That thread and this thread are the only time I've ever come across it as a possible given name.It feels hippie-ish and not very name-like to me. However, I like Astrid, Astri, and Asta.
