Pokémon
Pokémon has been getting a bit of a revival over the past year or so. I think there are some names of pokémon from the first two generations that could work as names:MALE
Spearow
Shellder
Onix
Rhydon
Scyther
Tyrouge
Entei FEMALE
Ivysaur
Kakuna
Paras
Abra
Starmie
Eevee
QuilavaEITHER
Persian
Chansey
Bayleef
Ledian
Ariados
Xatu
Mantine
Raikou
Okay so some of those are a bit of a stretch and others are based on real words that could already be in use as names. My questions are:1. Do you think there'll be a rise in popularity of any of these pokémon-related names? Do you think you'll ever meet someone with one of these names?
2. Would you use any if they weren't names of pokémon? Would you use any knowing that they are names of pokémon?
Bonus Question. Are there any other pokémon names that could work as names either from later generations or that I missed?
Personally, I have a soft spot for Spearow as a word and would possibly consider using it as a name if it wasn't a pokémon. Rhydon, Tyrouge and Chansey to some extent too. Don't get me wrong, I would groan inside and post about it on here if I did hear of a poké-name in real life; I'm just saying I like the words and they sound namey. However, I do believe that it's only a matter of time until I meet a real life Eevee...
