Lavender
saw someone mention it on the thread on Saffron.
it's my favorite flower and i love the imagery of calmness and cleanliness it gives, though i've only just considered it as a name. i'm a little hesitant about color names, since what if the kid ends up not liking that color lmao. it's also a flavor i love in food so that may be a little weird? though it has meaning beyond both of that so it justifies it a little to me.
wdyt? and how does Sylvia Lavender, Éva Lavender, or Ileana Lavender sound? what would you put as a mn for Lavender?

I absolutely love Lavender. She’s one of my favourites! Ever since I listened to an audio tape of Matilda, and watched the film, I’ve loved the fun, mischievous, devil-may-care personality the character has given it. It adds more feistiness and fire to the name in my opinion. I think all the firsts you have for Lavender work well in terms of style or feel, but the flow/sound is a little off. Like Sylvia and Lavender have a similar pattern, and the repeated V, which is the same for Eva. Ileana Lavender is nice, but still sounds a little strange to my ears, but that might just be because I’m not used to it. I have Lavender Margot Athena on my list (after a lot of searching) and I really love it now, so of course that’d be my choice. I also considered Lavender Jane, Lavender Sally, and Lavender Thea.

I don't like it because of strong associations with the LAV sound (lavish, lavatory) and a generally prissy impression.
It's not weird because it's an herb, it's only weird because it's unusual as a name.
I wouldn't like it as a first name. It's alright as a middle name. Sylvia Lavender sounds nice. Eva Lavender sort of runs together, sounds very palindromic. Ileana L. is heavily wrought, but if that's your style it's not bad.

I like it as a scent, but I don't like it as a name. It sounds too cumbersome.
Hi foxgloves !!!
I quite dislike Lavender in this form.
I much prefer the Italian Lavanda or French Lavande.
It is not weird...I also love the colour and the smell of this beautiful flower and light purple is my third favourite colour (after green and navy-blue).
Sylvia Lavender is lovely!
