Saffron
What are you thoughts on Saffron? What middle/first name would you use with it? What would you expect Saffron’s brother/sister to be named? Thanks!

i love Saffron. if using it, i'd be tempted to use other spice names for other siblings though that'd be cruel maybe ahaha.something naturey though would match it- like Amaryllis or Amaranth.

I love Saffron! I came across it on a character a while ago, and it’s always had a cool, relaxed, but wild, no nonsense, can hold her own feel. I have Saffron Octavia Alex on my list after a lot of thought. I really think Alex and Alexis capture how I see Saffron, and I also thought about Saffron Joanna, Saffron Artemis, Saffron Athena, Saffron Tabitha, Saffron Ingrid, Saffron Natasha. For siblings I’d imagine quite a few of the middles I’ve mentioned like Tabitha, Natasha, Joanna, as well as Beatrix, Lavender, Xanthe, Astrid, and perhaps Francis, Timothy, Lysander, August, Kit for boys.

Saffron seems to be getting a very divided response! Personally, I quite like it. It's a nature name that's not overtly flowery or woodsy. I'd picture Saffron's siblings having names that... evoke the upper echelons: Eleanor, Allegra, Clara, Caroline; Harris / Harry, Martin, Rhys, Hugh. However, in the comments for the name, one real-life Saffron says her sister's name is Ruby.As for combos, I think Saffron is paired best with names beginning with vowels:Saffron Olivia
Saffron Eloisa / Saffron Eloise
Saffron Alise / Saffron Elise
Saffron Eleanor
Saffron Adele
Saffron Alanis
Saffron Aleta / Saffron Alida
Saffron Alyssa / Saffron Elissa
Saffron Estelle
Saffron Esther
Saffron Yvette
Saffron Idonea
Saffron Isabel / Saffron Isabelle / Saffron Isobel
Saffron Isabella
Saffron Isadora
Saffron Isolde
Saffron Odessa
Saffron Odette

I honestly really dislike it. To me, it seems like it's trying too hard to be unique / different / upper crust, and it ends up having the opposite connotation. I'm not trying to be negative, I just really don't care for Saffron as a name.

I love the name Saffron, it's lovely. I tried to convince DH on this name, but he wasn't so keen. There are plenty of names that would work for brothers and sisters of a girl named Saffron, it would just depend what the parents liked I guess. There are also plenty of names that would work as a mn to Saffron. Some that I like are: Saffron Mary
Saffron Martha
Saffron Elizabeth
Saffron Beatrix
Saffron Olivia
Saffron Eloise
Saffron Alice
Saffron Amelia
Saffron Jemima
Saffron Kate
Saffron Lucy
Saffron Lila
Saffron Louisa
Saffron Zoe
Saffron Chloe
Saffron Matilda

I don't like it at all. I don't know why, but it comes across as kind of tacky to me.

I love it! Saffron Anne, haha. I'd expect Sutton.

It's a spice and not a name to me. The sound is ugly too.
