I love Nancy. I think it's soft and pretty, and I absolutely love the nickname "Nan". I dislike all the famous associations. I think of Nancy Pelosi (Minority Leader in the US House of Representatives) of whom I am not a fan, and it has a very dated vibe to the mid 20th Century here in the US. I would still use it, if it were not DH's Aunt's name.
