I like Penelope. I like nicknames Nell, Poppy and Penny. It has become more common and I think most people who use it think they're being super original so that's kind of a bummer. But the fact that it has many great nicknames at least makes it seem less popular as 4 Penelopes may go by 4 different names.My Babies: Lucille Beatrice and Lennon Wallace

but how do you get Poppy out of Penelope? I like Poppy a lot but I see it as an independent flower name and I never heard of it being used as a nn for Penelope. It doesn't seem to be related to it either.

I had never thought of Poppy as a nn, but I like it.
I wouldn't have thought it was linked too much other than the double "p". It's cute though.
