I love Minnie, and used to have it on my list, but if ever get a girl cat she'll be Minerva nn Minnie, so I took it off the human list haha. Plus it's likely if I had a Minnie, it would be very ironic.

These are a bit of a stretch but the sounds are there, or near there...

My grandmother had a friend whose given name was Mildred but she always went by Minnie. I hate both names, but I'd rather be Minnie than Mildred, any day.

I assume you know that Minnie started out as a nickname for Wilhelmina and you want something different from that. Maybe Minneapolis. You know, a place name. No? lol How about Minerva?
