Any opinions on this softer variant of Rowena? I think it has a pleasing sound. The reason I bring it up is that more than one of my acquaintances has recently named a daughter Rowan. I don't dislike it too horribly on a girl, but I was thinking about how one could make the name more feminine without the ween syllable and lo and behold, Rowenna already exists. I now know Rowan and Rowena aren't necessarily related, but they are similar. It pleases me today. We'll see if it's a flash in the pan or a perennial.
