I like Rumi. Sir is really dumb but I think African Americans tend to be more open to title names like King, Lord, Knight, Prince, Marques, Saint etc. I guess if that's your thing, but its really complicated when people around him are always, like, "Sir, can I help you" and he turns around and its someone else being spoken to.

I agree. There's definitely a cultural history to take into account. But I think Sir was a bad choice outside of my opinion of it as a given name
