Love them, and I am the same as Wordsmith below -- "I loooove Marian names, and I'm unequivocally not religious. I love them for their cultic, talismanic mysticism."To his list (all of which I adore), I will also put myself down as loving Remedios (love the painter!), Socorro, Soledad, Mercedes, Nieves, and Annunziata. Those first three are just so dreamy. There's something I particularly love about word names that reference concepts and stories.The figure of Mary for me goes far beyond any dogmatic presentation of her by any branch of Christianity. Her story has cosmic significance that can be applied to anyone, man or woman... it's a story of life.I love the names of those priests that include a form of Mary:

I love her readiness to suggest interesting historical names. The Catholic tendency to use the names of saints makes for some delight for name lovers...
