I think it's bad. It's just not a namey concept at all, as it refers to something created by a person - and a lyric is even just a bunch of words, so it has no substance at all because lyrics can be about anything, including ugly and sad things. Seems deliberately empty.
At best it seems like a dictionary word chosen because it sounds similar to names like Leo and Eric and Lyra. Flakey.

I like it and only for a boy. Lyric IMO is a total boys' name. I like how different and unique the name is yet isn't bizarre or ridiculous. Its usable
