Zoe?
What do you think of the girls name Zoe? I know it's more common in some areas. But I have always liked the name. Humor me. What middle name suggestions would you pair with it?

I love the name Zoe! I have a cousin in her 20's with this name. There are lots of names that would work for a mn, just depends what you're after.

Thank you. I guess I'm looking for something uncommon or rare but pretty. :)

I love Zoe. It's got a fun, excitable, friendly feel to it. I've got a three year old cousin named Zoey who is the absolute sweetest kid, and that makes me like it even more, although I definitely prefer it without the Y. I'm coming up blank for combos right now, but I'll post some later if I think of some!

It has a special place in my heart because it was my mother's name, and she was born in 1928, when it was a name rarely bestowed in the US. She herself hated it, and everyone else acted like they hated it too, but times have changed. I wish she'd lived to see it become popular. The downside to it growing popular, however, is that I gave it as a middle name to my daughter in 1982 to honor my mother, when it was still very unusual, so the popularity has taken away from the special-ness of that a bit.I used to hate it. I hated it even when I gave it to my daughter as a middle name. But I've grown to like it.How about Zoe Camille? That was my mother's first and middle name.

Thank you! Yes Zoe in 1928 would have been rare. My mom was born in the 40's and her middle name was Alice, which now has grown in popularity. She hated her name also. Which was Melva Alice. But Zoe is a nice and spunky name I think and I think it's great that you gave it to your daughter as a MN!
Zoe Camille is a nice name combo. Thank you for that suggestion.

My little cousin named Zoe Fey just had her first birthday yesterday. I think that's a fun, sprightly, springy combo.I also have a friend named Zoey Elyse and I think it's pretty.I actually don't really like the name Zoe myself, the ZO sound is just kind of loud and dizzying to me, but I like the combos above because they soften the name a bit.

I've always enjoyed Zoe Mabel. Zoe Annette could work too; Zoe Clara, Zoe Lilian, Zoe Martha, Zoe Olwen, Zoe Pauline? It seems to do better with a vintage mn, or one like Clara or Lilian which is rising again.
