I read a book with a haughty young blond girl in Ancient Rome named Flavia, and it was the perfect choice. I like the name. I think it would work today. I have a distant relative named Flavio (after Flavio diGioia, the inventor of the magnetic compass!!). I always thought Flavio was pretty cool too.
