Re: it has its own Wikipedia page ...
How well-known is that, though? In Francophone countries, at least, the name is common enough (though not uber common), to not be closely associated with that franchise. There's actress Emanuelle Béart, for instance. It's like, say, Amber, I don't think the first association everyone has in "Forever Amber"Though I kind of I agree it's a bit too long and fancy in an Anglophone context. Even in French speaking contexts a lot of Emanuels/Emmanuelles seem to be called Manu or other nicknames most of the time.I guess Elle and Ellie could work as nns."We have to live without sympathy, don't we? That's impossible of course. We act it to one another, all this hardness; but we aren't like that really, I mean...one can't be out in the cold all the time; one has to come in from the cold...d'you see what I mean?”

it's not the movies themselves ...I mean, Savannah and Jenna are or were names of very famous porn stars, and that never hurt their popularity as names.
It's the fact that the very first tresult you get when Googling Emmanuelle, and what kid doesn't Google their first name as soon as they learn to Google, is the Wikipedia page for the movies. Not even the French actress is first.
