I really like Lawri/Lawry (LAW-ree) but you don't like it which is okay! Other than that, I don't like many either. Can only think of maybe Reese or Ency.

I've always loved Lawrence (and the nickname Lawry). I considered using it with the nicknames Law or Rence, but Rence felt a little contrived/forced.

Wren/Ren immediately comes to mind. Maybe Rory, Enri (On-ree), Ari, Aren (Aaron), Reny. Or you could incorporate the middle (if he'll have one) and us that to help with a nickname.

To be honest I can't think of anything else that doesn't seem forced. So I would either stick with the full name or if you really want a nickname and Larry or Lawry don't work for you, consider choosing another name.

What about Rory?

I like Law. There's also Lars, but that one's always given me the creeps.
