Message: "BA" - Behind the Name

A FB friend posted the very late arrival of her son... Jameson Jeffrey.

I don't mind the name and I like the alliteration, however their surname ends in -son. Not sure how I feel about that.

I'm not a huge fan of it, less so given that their last name rhymes with his first. I'm very careful not to choose names that will rhyme with my surname, even if I love them. I would have preferred James. I've never liked Jeffrey.

I'm pretty sure someone I went to school with also has a Jamison Jeffrey (spelled this way). Jeffrey after his father. Not bad, but yeah, I wouldn't do that with a -son surname.
