Leia is soft and gentle sounding. The association with the Star Wars character gives it some spunk. I too like it more than the Biblical Leah. In tone and general feel, Leia reminds me more of Linnea and Raia.
Most people would probably assume that you were a Star Wars fan if you did decide to use it, but it isn't a bad association to have and doesn't carry a lot of baggage like some names.
