Italian names 2017 ! 2
Hi !!!
Another Italian case.
A user is expecting a daughter who will join sister Alessia.
The mother likes for her Elisa but she's afraid that Alessia & Elisa are too similar for a sibset.
Other options are Giulia, Ilaria, Serena and Sonia.
Users suggestion are: Virginia, Gabriella, Valentina, Martina and Noemi.
WDYT?

I would agree that Elisa and Alessia are much too similar to be used in the same family. Valentina, Giulia and Gabriella are all terrific, and they sound well with Alessia. Francesca and Aurora are my personal suggestions.
Alessia & Valentina
Alessia & Giulia
Alessia & Gabriella
Alessia & Francesca
Alessia & Aurora
Good luck with finding a name!

Elisa and Alessia are a bit too similar. I think they are usable together if she really loves it more than anything, but if there are other names she likes too I would suggest to go with something else. They are not only similar in sound, they also both feel like their best time is behind them. Not dated yet, but not exactly fresh either.
Giulia is nice but it is so incredibly common that I would stay away from it. Ilaria seems dated, she seems to like names that were more common a few years ago :P Same with Serena and Sonia! I guess Serena and Sonia would almost be unusual for a child born nowadays! Virginia is nice and classic but has teasing potential, Gabriella and Valentina seem dated. Martina is also starting to sound tired. I would go with Noemi! Noemi is wonderful.
Okay so Noemi is the best, in my opinion. Sonia is kind of cool because it would be nice to see this on a baby. Giulia is nice and classic but too common. Alessia is fine but close to Elisa.
Still I would choose one of these, ranked in order of preference:
1 Noemi
2 Giulia - ok I love the sound so much, but so common!
3 Sonia
4 Alessia
these are okay:
5 Serena
6 Virginia
7 Ilaria
8 Gabriella
9 Valentina
10 Martina

Ciao Felie,
ancora una buona Domenica per voi,
il migliore che mi piace il nome Giulia o Sonia, e ho potuto immaginare un grafie diverse, cosi alla fine Julia e Sonja/Sonya. (il mio secondo nome è anche Sonia,(-:)
Come risultato, allora
Alessia & Giulia
Alessia & Sonia
Alessia & Elisa sono in realtà molto simili, non vorrei prendere.
Un saluto a Italia

Wow, I actually understood most of the Italian.
But next time, please write in English so that people who don't speak Italian won't be left out. :)
(I'm not angry or something, just want everyone to be able to understand, OK?)

Hi Caprice!!!
Did you understand?
Great!
You are right...
But I wrote in Italian because she wrote in Italian too so I thought it was kind (and I was glad too).

I know...but when I wrote to Swedish members in Swedish I was told to use English, so I don't want you to get in trouble or anything.
Anyway, I was glad to see that I actually still do understand a little Italian. :)
I read Volevo i pantaloni as an "Easy Reader" a few years ago, but I wouldn't be able to do that now, I think. Even my French is bad nowadays, since I don't practice it.
