Some surprises on the top 100:
Adrian went from 47 to 14. I thought it would stay around 40-60. It's my nephew's name, although he was born during 2015.
Viggo went from 48 to 36. I thought we were done with this name? Same goes for
Vidar.
And I'm quite surprised that
Sebastian is at #95, and were at 78 last year. I would have guessed that it would be within top 25.
I'm quite surprised by how much popularity
Alicia has gained and I can't really see how Vikander would inpact the popularity that much.
Alicia hasn't been an unknown name for ages compared to other names used in pop culture that might have been made up or unusual to begin with. Maybe people just got tired with
Alice?
And WHY did
Lovisa o from 58 to 40? It's such a childish name and again, I thought we were done with it.
And
Maria went from 80 to 57. Must be because of all the immigrants as
Maria still is a common name in other parts of the world.
And what's up with
Linn? From 98 to 78.
Cleo and
Adele are also surprises, but I blame them on pop culture. Same goes for
Penny, but I actually had a bunny born during 2016 who I named
Penny. I bet eeeeeveryone who named their daughters
Penny during 2016 saw my bunnies IG account. ;-)
We’ve all got both light and dark inside us. What matters is the part we choose to act on. That’s who we really are.
