Aurora, Bianca or Alba?
Hi !!!Give me an advice, please..
All these three names in Italian are word-names.Aurora means "dawn" in Ita. but originally "golden" and has A.Greek and Latin roots.
Bianca means "white" in Ita. with French/Germanic roots.
Alba means "sunrise" in Ita. but originally "white" with Latin roots. So these names have the same theme: the sunrise and its coulours (golden and white). What is your favourite? Why?ByeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeEvergreens: Anastasia Angelica Aurora Basilio Bianca Cassandra Celeste Dante Dora Ester Fabrizio Fiammetta Flora Leone Levi Lilia Luna Marta Morgana Romeo Petra Rosetta Serafina Serena Stella Valentino Vanessa Vera

Aurora. I prefer it over Alba and hate Bianca

I like Aurora because I consider it the only usable name of the three

Bianca is beautiful. Alba is nice but it seems like more of a surname to me. (I love Rosalba though.) I think Aurora is ugly sounding unfortunately. It has pretty connotations, but I think all those R's sound bad together (at least in an American accent).

Alba.I adore the name. I like that it's short, easy to pronounce in quite a few languages, and has a nice sound.

My favourite is Aurora.Alba could grow on me, but at the moment I feel it's too associated with the celebrity for me to consider using. Sunrise is a lovely meaning. White and elf are not as appealing to me, but not too bad.Bianca - B names on girls usually don't appeal to me, neither is the meaning anything special.

Aurora is the best! Funny I got characters all with these names, except for Elva instead of Alba which has the same roots!

I like Bianca best. It was my grandma's name, and the name of one of my other grandma's sisters.

Aurora because I love the sound of it and its nicknames. I also like Bianca but it's my sister's name.

This is so difficult. I don't care for Alba. But I absolutely love both Aurora and Bianca! If I lived in Italy I might choose Bianca because Aurora is so common there. But I think overall I prefer Aurora. But both of them are beautiful!

AuroraI love the nn Rory. Also I love the connection to the Aurora Borealis. When I look at the letters of the name Aurora as they come together they are the colors of the dawn. So the name means dawn and looks like a soft pink and golden morning sky.

AlbaI am Scottish and alba is an old name for Scotland

That's always puzzled me, though. I could see it for England - white cliffs of Dover, etc - but actually not Scotland, where even the Picts were dark-haired and presumably also had dark eyes and skin. Heavy snow on the Cairngorms, perhaps? Are there any explanations that you know of?
