although seeing Lydia and Lucia close together made me think of Lycia - best of both worlds ;)

Both are on my long list. Both are beautiful, but if I were to name a daughter of mine, I would pick Lucia with the Spanish pronunciation of 'Loo-see-ah'.
It was a strong contender for this baby if we end up having a girl.

Lucia
This was actually kind of difficult. I strongly dislike how there are so many ways of pronouncing Lucia plus Lucy is getting really common. Lydia is kind of common too, but the pronunciation is clear. I like Lucia's meaning a lot. I think I would go with Lucia. I have no idea which pronunciation I would choose. I like loo-SEE-ah and I like it with the nn Lucy but loo-CHEE-ah is nice too.

Lucia
I adore both, as long as Lucia is Loo-see-uh. I like Loo-chee-uh too, but I don't feel I can do it much justice, and I loath Loo-sha. Lydia's fearless, feisty, spontaneous, whilst Lucia is exotic, beautiful, and level headed. I don't know, so I'll do what I usually do and chose the less popular one, which is... Lucia, just.

That's an easy one - Lucia. Far nicer sound (I pronounce it loo-SEE-a) and meaning.
Depends
If it's loo-SEE-ah, then Lucia. If it's some other pronunciation of Lucia, I much prefer Lydia.

Me too. Exactly this.

Lucia! I love the Italian pronounciation, loo-CHEE-uh. Lydia rhymes with a VD.
Yes it does ;)
