Kaya
What are your opinions on Kaya? or Kaia?

I prefer the spelling Kiah. It reminds me of one time when I went camping with a cute guy in Ukiah, California.
Where I live, some people still use 'kaia' as a word for an outdoor lavatory. The kind that aren't connected to the plumbing.
I've never fancied it as a name, somehow.

I like both, but I think Kaia is better for some reason.
Meet Kaya: an American Girl
In the stories, Kaya's full name was Kaya-Aton-My, which in Nez Perce meant "She who arranges rocks." Which doesn't really appeal to me.
Kaya's kind of a pretty sound, but it's not really a name I like.

Oh yes, I remember her! I actually like that meaning :)
There's nothing actually wrong with the meaning, but if it was my call I would have liked a more overtly positive meaning, like oh, I don't know, She Who Chases the Sun or One Who Laughs.
