Susan
Each year around Christmas time after watching 'Miracle on 34th Street' I always start to think that Susan is kind of nice. Yes, dated, but there's something so sophisticated about it. I don't care for Sue but I do like Susie which I think might become the new Maddie in a few decades. I also like the meaning 'lily'. So what are your opinions on Susan?
I don't care for Suzanne very much but I do like Susannah.
A few additional questions:
Susan or Susannah?
Susanna or Susannah?
Opinions on Sue, Susie, Suzette, Suzanne?

A sweet little frump of a name. I wish I liked it more, but it just doesn't Go for me. Suzanne does, though - more than Susannah. Did you know Leonard Cohen wrote that gorgeous song Suzanne before he met the Suzanne who would mother his children?
Suzette's fun. I'm a little turned off in theory because it's frivolous. But I think I'd like it in practice.
I don't like Susie or Sue except as occasional nicknames for my sweet Susan and Susannah friends.

I find this name to be beautiful, elegant, & even sexy, and I consider Suzanne similarly, although these names are not the same; I would also consider Suzanna a different name - as Anna is to Anne (Ann). If I were named Susan I would dislike being called Sue, although when I amended the legal spelling of my name from Barbara to Barbra, I considered hyphenating it to Barbra-Sue, but the idea of being called just Sue dissuaded me. I would prefer the pronunciation of Suzie before Susie; yet if I were named Susan or Suzanne, I'd do my utmost to limit those who call me Suzie to a select few. I consider the concept of "dated" as one of analysis--even if merely through casual reflection, and would therefore offer such a consideration little relevance as to my preference.

Susan is nice enough. I've just known so many (older, my age, younger) that the name feels quite dated to me. OTOH, I adore Susanna and the nn Susie.
Susan or Susannah? Susannah
Susanna or Susannah? Susanna
Sue: hate it
Susie: adorable
Suzette: not a fan; very precious
Suzanne: just okay, better than Suzette

Hi !!!
I like its flowery meaning too!! Lotus, lily and finally rose from Egyptian to Hebrew ...from the most ancient era to the contemporary world. I love its long history.
I like more Susie than Maddie so I think that it will grow. But I prefer other NNs.
But I dislike 'Susan'. I prefer Susanna (more familiar for me). But I also love Shoshannah ...it is beautiful !!!
Susan, Susannah, Susanna, Suzanne or (I suggest) Shoshannah?
Well...
Shoshannah is the best!
But I'm sad to say that it will be a GP because it is too much if you live in Italy.
So my choise will be Susanna.
My third favourite is Suzette... it is lovely!!!
NNs... Sanna!!! Fantastic !!!!!
