Matyelok
So I popped in my old "Rosemary & Thyme" Series 1 DVD (if you've never watched it, it's a gas), and during the credits for the pilot episode, I noticed that the actress who played barmy old Mrs. Potts is named... Matyelok Gibbs. While the actress doesn't have a Wikipedia page, I did look her up on IMDb and saw that she played Louise in one of my favorite movies, "Ever After," so I was surprised that I hadn't recognized her. But in any event... Matyelok.I have never before encountered this name. Does anyone know what it's from? My first guess is that it's somehow derived from a Dutch name. In any case, I find it quite bizarre, especially in my Midwest American accent. Please rate my personal name lists:www.behindthename.com/pnl/69381
