Not at all usable, unless you're talking about a cat or something. It's just straight up ridiculous. I would never be able to take someone who named a child Almond seriously. And if I met an Almond I'd have a hard time saying their name with a straight face. If I were named Almond I'd choose to go by almost anything else rather than that. And no it doesn't matter how you pronounce it.
