Amice
I watched a documentary about life in the middle ages and came across the name Amice. It was heavily used in England during that time for girls. The narrator pronounced it AM-is, emphasis on the first syllable. Would that have been the pronunciation you would have used for it as well? Do you know whether this is the correct pronunciation of the name?
Do you like the name Amice? Could it make a comeback?

I love Amice, and that's the only way I've heard it pronounced.
I would have said AM-is as well, which was the pronunciation I found in multiple places when I googled it.
This is a really interesting name with a great meaning, and for that reason, I think it could maybe come back... The only thing is that it has the word "mice" in it. For that reason I prefer the masculine form, Amis.

I would have said AY-mis
It's not a terrible name and it could have the nickname Amy

I think I watched that documentary too, I remember the name.
I would like it better if it was spelt Amis. I don't like it and I can't pinpoint exactly why. I love Avis though.
