I really do love Wilbur, but sometimes it seems like the ultimate "old man name." It has very dated cultural associations, which have been mentioned in the thread already (the pig in "Charlotte's Web," and the character on "Mister Ed"), and it will take a long time to shake those. (But maybe they're not as strong in the UK?)
That said, Francis and Wilbur go well together as brothers!
