Madeline sounds graceful and timeless, and Adeline sounds more old and comic, to me. I mean, relatively - Adeline isn't a bad name. It's nice.
Adeline is always add-a-line. Adeline prn. addalynn seems ugly to me, and Adeline prn. addaleen sounds pretentious, on an American anyway.
I'd rather Maddie than Addie. Maddie is like Maggie; Addie is like Aggie.

In truth I like both but Adeline feels more...nostalgic? poetic? It sticks in my mind like a song, more so than Madeline.

It's more classic.
Adeline reminds of "Add a line for $9.99!" commercials. Not the best.
Addy is better than Maddy though.

Some unrelated thoughts/opinions first:
-Adeline = always "leen".
-Madeline = can be "lyne" (like the word line) but can also be "leen".
-neither should ever be "lin" (there is an e at the end, people! If you wanted "lin" you should have used Madelyn, Madelin, Adelyn, or whatever.)
Both are cute. To me, Madeline sounds more classic and Adeline sounds more fresh, but that might not be a common opinion. I also think Adeline is better for nicknames. Madeline has Maddy, which I don't really like. Adeline has Addy but also Adel.

For some reason, I don't mind Add-uh-leen. It sounds pretty, elegant, and sophisticated. Whereas I only like Mad-uh-len, and even then it's quite popular and expected where I'm from, as well as Maddy.

Madeline, I guess, though they're both blah.
The trouble with Adeline is, it's not clear how it's supposed to be pronounced. Seems that today the trendy pronunciation is Add-a-lyn, and all these variations like Adelynand Adalynn make it even more uncertain.
I've always pronounced it Add-a-line, a pronunciation that sounds unattractive to me.
