1) It has lots of history with Roosevelt, Aquitane, etc.
2) It is classic, yet underused imo. There are great nicknames from the popular Ella, the chic Noor, the sweet Norah, and the unique Nola.
3) Laura is one of those names that people tend to forget. Its pretty, but its forgettable like Liz, Anne, Mary, and Lisa.
