Hmmm... this is hard.
I really like both names. I think I *really* like Laura more, but I knew so many Lauras growing up that it seems kind of lackluster to me now even though it's a pretty classic name. I wish I could know a little Laura so the 80s sheen would wear off.
I like Eleanor a lot, too, but mostly because I like its style, not because I like its sound. -Nor is harsh. And a lot of people I know say Ell-ner, which is HIDEOUS. I don't know, it's cute though, and quirky and classic.
All in all, I like Laura more but Eleanor is awesome also. I'd definitely be more willing to name a daughter Eleanor than Laura.
