Wilhelmina or Zelda?
Wilhelmina would be Willie or Mina. Take your pick. :)

Zelda
Wilhelmina was the ugly girl name when I was a kid, locked away with Gretchen and Helga. Suddenly, its very hipster and being used. I don't mind Minne or Mina, though.
Zelda is better, despite the Legend of Zelda link (or should I say, Link, tee hee, nerd humor), because it also has a huge 20s vibe cemented by Zelda Fitzgerald.

That's tricky, both were on our possible list..
I think Wilhelmina wins by a whisker. Out of the two nicknames i'd prefer Mina. I love Billie or Bill for Wilhelmina.

I know two people with dogs named Zelda. Little ratty white ones, both. So, Wilhelmina.
Wilhelmina
I prefer Wilhelmina nn Willie (Willa would be even better), but I'd simplify the spelling to Willemina.
Wilhelmina
Zelda's uglychic.
Griselda is even uglier than Mildred but you don't see enthusiasm for Griselda nor Mildred. Only kewt, kewl Millie and Zelda.
Wilhelmina nn Mina (or even Willie, which is more uglychic so a better compare) has way more guts & grace.

Zelda is brisk and businesslike; Wilhelmina is lo-o-ong and complicated. So, Zelda it is. Would it be short for Grizelda, or a stand-alone?
Wilhelmina. But Zelda for a feline

Hard choice...Zelda
Wilhelmina is adorable, but I'm going through a Roaring Twenties phase and Zelda, of course, reminds me of Zelda and F. Scott Fitzgerald.

Zelda, while kind of ugly, has some pizzazz, while Wilhelmina has always struck me as a bit comical.
