NO
I don't even like it for a town.

Nah. It doesn't sounds like a first name at all, and it doesn't have a "personal" feel to it at all. I dislike the nn Brock, too.
Nope. But what's wrong with
just Brock? It's a decent name without all of that pseudo-elegance of a long surname that ends in "ington".

I don't like the name!!!
I was just asking what people thought because for some reason I was thinking of an old friend from a few years ago whose name was Brockington nn Brock and I hadn't seen the name on the board so I thought I'd post it. I repeat....I do not like the name Brockington! Hahaha.

Really dislike this type of name, it sounds like the parents are trying too hard!

Yuck, it sounds like the name of a town or something! My little brothers name is Brock, I like that much better than Brockington.
Oh gosh, I think it's awful. I loathe the name Brock anyway, but turning a normal name into that mouthful is completely unneeded imo.
If I just say no will that suffice?

I don't really like it myself! For some reason I was thinking about an old friend of mine and his name was/is Brockington and everyone called him Brock. Just wanted to see what people thought of the name!
It seems more appropriate as a reply to Lindsay's thread for pretentious sounding yuppie names. Just name the kid Brock.
It's awful.
