Boy nicknames for a girl
If you had to have your daughter called by one of these boyish nicknames, which would it be? It wouldn't necessarily have to be the full name.Bobbie
Billie
Tommie
Charlie
Sam
Joey
Georgie
Teddy
Frankie
Ronnie
Randi
AndieWhich is your least favorite?I think I'd have to go with Andie if my daughter had to be called by one. My least favorite would be Frankie, I guess? Hard to pick a least fave. B. has a sister named Frankie.

I don't really mind any of them besides Ronnie and maybe Randi. I think Charlie would be my favorite.I go by Sam and it's never bothered me.

Yikes, I don't like any of them but if I had to use one, it would be Joey, short for Joanna.I'd say my least fave is Frankie. Or Ronnie. Or Bobbie.

FRANKIE, BITCH!!!BOO-YAH!!! ;)

Josephine "Joey" or Robin "Bobbie"I'd probably more likely go with Robbie, or maybe even "Birdie", over Bobbie in real life. I have a fondness for Billie as a full name, and perhaps Tamsin "Tommie" could work? After Randi, which to me is laughable to even think of using in the UK, my least favourite is probably Frankie. It's more than likely because there were several Francesca "Frankie"'s when I was at school, and not all pleasant. The name just seems harsh and unappealing to me.

I like Andie the best, and I'd use it as a short form for Andromeda or Adrienne. I also like Charlie (Charlotte,) Teddy (Theodora,) Frankie (Francesca,) Tommie (Temperance,) and Joey (Joan.)

I quite like boyish nicknames for girls. My sister in law is called Franky and I quite like that name, although she does sometimes get mistaken for a boy when people hear her name before they meet her! From this list I like Charlie and Georgie for girls. I like Charlie better on a boy though!

I rather like Charlie and Andie on girls. I dislike Teddy and Frankie.

Frankie is my favorite.Charlie is my least favorite for a girl. (Love it for a boy.)

Only one? I love boy nicknames for a girl. :)I like Tommie, Charlie, Sam, Joey, Teddy, and Andie. My favourite is probably Joey. (Damn you, Dawson's Creek!)

Andie (or Andi).. Tommie is my least favorite.

I'd go with Georgie or Frankie. I like both on girls, but not really any of the others.

I really like Georgie as a full name or nickname for a boy or girl. It's one of the few unisex names I like. My least favourite would have to be Randi, because of its connotations.

I could live with Billie, Teddy, Charlie or Andie as a nickname for full names like Wilhelmina, Theodora, Angelica or Carlotta. Ronnie is definitely the worst. It makes me think of a very irritating woman I know. I also think it's just ugly.

I like Sam the most. But I'm not a big fan of nicknames. Those are awful on a girl:Bobbie
Tommie
Ronnie

Wouldn't it depend on her fn? Sam is so inevitable as a nn for Samantha, Ronnie for Veronica, Andie for Andrea etc.If it was me, I'd have named my daughter Georgina rather than any of the others, so no doubt she'd be Georgie. Not too bad a fate! And my least fave must be Sam. Or Frankie. Or Joey ...Bobbie - No. Very domestic-pet; I've known a Roberta called Bert and another called Robbie.
Billie - like my seriously male cousin? Nope.
Tommie - usually a nn for males and females with ln Thompson
Charlie - if she was Charlotte or Charlene or Charlize, Charlie would be a pleasant change; but she wouldn't be.
Sam - I loathe all Sam names, male and female.
Joey - no. Josie, yeah but then it stops being male.
Georgie - the probable winner.
Teddy - way too Bear for me.
Frankie - awful for either gender, though Fran is nice; once again, Fran is fem!
Ronnie - dislike Veronica
Randi - means sexually enthusiastic where I live, so no for either gender, though Miranda is a lovely nm
Andie - either a fem nn for Andrea or a unisex nn for ln Anderson. And I once knew an Ann who was known as Andie - better than Annie, she said.

Billie feels pretty feminine to me. So does Andie, and Sam's very unisex. Georgie's cute.I get occasionally called Frank or Frankie.

Billie without a doubt. I remember loving this name as a child and have always preferred it for a girl, rather than the boy name Billy.

Billie and Charlie would be my favourites while Randi, Ronnie and Frankie are my least favourite

GeorgieGeorgie is cute and suits a woman IMO. Doesn't suit a guy at all.I don't mind Randi, Andie, Sam, Bobbie either. Can't even stomach Charlie (hard CH), Teddy (lingerie), Frankie.
Ronnie, Joey, Billie are okay. Tommie is ... ugh, I dunno, maybe. I don't like it.

I like most of these, they're cute! I like Bobbie, Billie, Tommie, Charlie, Sam, Georgie (or just George), Teddy, Frankie, and Andie. I think my least favorite is probably Randi, I just really hate the sound of it.

Definitely Georgie. I would certainly never call a boy Georgie (karma chameleon-ie) anyway. My least favorite of these is Sam. It's so blah that it upsets me every time I meet a new girl Sam.

I really love Joey, Georgie, and Frankie. Charlie is okay too. I'm not very fond of the rest of them.

I'd pick Samara or Samira nn Sam.
I also might think about Thea nn Teddy, although that's more of a stretch, or Frances nn Frankie, though I really do prefer Francie.Least favourite is definitely Randi, because of the meaning of randy. That would not fly around here.

I'm not a fan of boyish nicknames on girls (I tend not to be a nicknamer in general), but if I had to choose I'd go with Josephine "Joey". My least favorite is Randi...nope.

1st choice: Ronnie, short for Veronica.
2nd choice: Frankie, short for Francesca.
3rd choice: tie... Andie (Andromeda) / Teddy (Theodosia).

Tommie as a nn for Tamsen

Andy is cuter on a boy, I think. I think I'd pick Bobbi or Bobbie. I always thought that was kind of cute.
I have to agree about Frankie, even on a boy it sounds silly and like a little mobster in training. Also Tommy, because it's so babyish.
